Why Israel will rule the new Middle East - January 31, 2013 - FoxNews.com ...A few months ago it looked like the Jewish state might not survive until 2013...Now, however, Israel’s future may be brighter than ever. Iran remains the neighborhood’s unpredictable mad dog, although its nuclear bark is still far worse than its bite. But Israel itself is set to dominate the region like never before. Thanks to the industrial technological miracle known as fracking, Israel is about to become the new energy Mecca of the Middle East, and there’s very little its Arab neighbors can do to stop it. Indeed, instead of plotting Israel’s destruction, its Arab neighbors could find themselves courting Tel Aviv’s favor the way the United States and Europe courted OPEC in the 1970's and 1980's...
Hydraulic fracking is, of course, is the technology that uses a high-pressure mixture of water, sand, and chemicals to crack open deep deposits of shale oil and natural gas. It’s single-handedly revived our domestic energy industry–to the point where by 2020 we’ll be the world’s biggest oil producer. What many people don’t know is that the land of Israel holds almost 250 billion barrels of oil shale reserves (that’s according to the World Petroleum Council). That’s almost equal to Saudi Arabia’s 260 billion barrels--and as conventional oil sources there and in the Persian Gulf gets harder to extract (it already’s happening) and the cost goes up, Israel will be the new energy frontier of the region.
Comment: Huge News! With this oil news along with the recent natural gas find in Israel of nearly 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, Israel is on the road to becoming a very rich country! God said they would be. He said that He would restore the fortunes of Judah (Joel 3:1), and multiply the produce of the land (Ezekiel 36:30). He said that eventually a group of nations led by Russia would come to Israel to "capture spoil and seize plunder" (Ezekiel 38:12). As Israel's wealth continues to grow, she will be become more of this economic powerhouse and target. The nations that attempt to seize Israel's wealth including Russia and Iran (Ezekiel 38:5), will meet their doom according to Ezekiel 38 and 39.
A sober warning: Russia and Iran, DO NOT come against Israel! YOU CANNOT fight the God of Israel!
U.S. gift of F-16 fighters headed to Egypt, despite Morsi's harsh rhetoric - Associated Press - January 22, 2013 - Four F-16 fighter jets left the U.S. this morning, bound for Egypt as part of a foreign aid package critics say should have been scrapped when the nation elected a president who has called President Obama a liar and urged that hatred of Jews be instilled in children...Sixteen F-16s and 200 Abrams tanks are to be given to the Egyptian government before the end of the year under a $216 million foreign aid deal signed in 2010 with then-Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a longtime U.S. ally..Lawmakers told FoxNews.com that even if Morsi has softened his stance, it makes no sense to arm his Islamist government with weapons that could one day be used against Israel or even Egyptians.
Comment: With the new Egyptian president spewing his anti-Israel hatred, it is almost assured this new weaponry, supplied by the United States, will be used against Israel. God is watching and He has stated that He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse them. (Genesis 12:3,Genesis 27:29). Wonder what kind of curse this will bring?
Obama, buoyed by reelection, faces stark fiscal battles with Congress in second term - Washington Post - Hours after Barack Obama’s soaring victory speech and a gracious
concession by Mitt Romney, Republican leaders in Washington made clear
Wednesday that whatever mandate the president won for his second term
will be sharply limited by the losing party’s starkly different view of
the nation’s challenges.
After an election in which the nation essentially ratified the
status quo — keeping an embattled but broadly admired president, a Democrat-controlled Senate and a Republican-run House — Obama called for healing and cooperation on key issues such as the deficit, tax reform and immigration.
Comment: This election has shown that the United States is deeply divided! Half of the country has voted for same-sex marriage, abortion on demand, and less support for Israel. The Lord sits in the heavens and laughs (Psalm 2). When He is done laughing according to Psalm 2, He will speak in His anger. May the Lord have mercy on us as a nation!
National Cathedral to perform same-sex weddings, officials say - Associated Press - January 09, 2013 - The Washington National Cathedral, where the nation gathers to mourn tragedies and celebrate new presidents, will soon begin performing same-sex marriages. Cathedral officials tell The Associated Press the church will be among the first Episcopal congregations to implement a new rite of marriage for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members. The church will announce its new policy Wednesday. As the nation's most prominent church, the decision carries huge symbolism. The 106-year-old cathedral has long been a spiritual center for the nation, hosting presidential inaugural services and funerals for Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford. It draws hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Comment: This is a very symbolic development. The religious part of America is now well on its way to legitimizing same-sex marriage. Jesus said that the days just before His return would be just like the days of Lot (Luke 17: 28-30) in which homosexuality was one of the main rebellions against God.
Egypt deploys U.S. tanks, missiles in demilitarized Sinai, near Israel - WorldTribune.com - August 24, 2012 - Egypt, despite a longstanding agreement to demilitarize much of the Sinai Peninsula, has deployed U.S.-origin missiles and comba
platforms near the border with Israel. Western defense sources said the Egyptian Army has deployed in Sinai a range of assets supplied by the United States. They cited main battle tanks and surface-to-air missiles, particularly in the area between Sinai town of El Arish and the border with Israel and the Gaza Strip. “Right now, all of the [Egyptian] heavy weapons have been deployed along the Israeli border,” a defense source said. The U.S.-origin MBTs were identified as the M-60A3, a light platform exported to Egypt in the 1980s. The sources said the Egyptian Army has deployed between 20 and 30 M-60A3s in eastern Sinai. The Army also deployed the U.S.-origin Avenger air defense system
near the Israeli border. The Avenger, produced by Boeing, contains the
Stinger surface-to-air missile and was supplied to Egypt over the last
five years.
Comment: We will keep a close watch on this! Ezekiel 35 calls for a judgment from God on the immediate Arab neighbors of Israel as they one day come against Israel. The devastation described in Ezekiel 35 to the Arab countries has never been fulfilled. Is this the time when it will be? We will see.
Israel Strikes Oil Off Tel Aviv Coast - Israelnationalnews.com - March 13, 2012 - Israel has struck oil again, this time off the Tel Aviv coast. Developers maintain the find includes 100 million barrels of oil, worth $10 billion. Modiin Energy and Adira Energy discovered an estimated 128 million barrels of oil and 1.8 trillion cubic feet of gas in shallow water less than 15 miles northwest of Tel Aviv...The amount of oil is estimated to meet Israel’s needs for 18 months, in addition to other energy finds in the Tamar and Leviathan fields off the Haifa coast. Companies developing those fields say there is enough gas and perhaps oil to turn Israel into an exporter.
Comment: This is huge news!!! Why? Ezekiel 38-39 describe a future Israel that is considered by Russia, Iran, and other allies listed in verse 5&6, as worthy to come against to "capture spoil" (38:12). This has confused Bible prophecy students in the past. The restoration of Israel has included astounding developments in agriculture and technology, but who would risk an army to come and seize agricultural produce? Today, with such growing energy demands, the world is looking at an Israel that now has the three largest natural gas wells in the world and are also finding oil. These new natural resources certainly qualify as the "spoil" that Ezekiel foretold twent-five hundred years ago.
Devastating Weather
and the Israel
Connection
The U.S. State Department continues to insist that Israel give up land to facilitate a new Palestinian State inside the present borders of Israel. God made a covenant with Abraham (Genesis 15:18), Isaac (Genesis 26:3), and Jacob (Genesis 48:4) about this Land in question. The covenant included the restoration of the Land in the last days and the Jewish people restored back to it after a time of being dispersed all over the world. (See Isaiah 11:10-12). In keeping with God's covenant, the Land of Israel today is a land of plenty and over 7 million Jewish people are living there. Many thousands are returning there every year. That covenant of restoration is in progress.
Not only did God promise that He would restore the Land of Israel and the Jewish people back to it in the "last days", but He also promised that He will retaliate against any that "divide" His Land (Joel 3:2) thus interfering with God fulfilling that covenant. Dividing the Land is exactly what the U.S. State Department is insisting that Israel do and at great price! As we do so, 2011 has seen some of the most devastating weather events on record. Many of these events occurred within hours of announcements by the U.S. State Department that Israel should give up land to negotiate "peace" with her Arab neighbors. Here are some examples:
Obama addresses AIPAC, calls for 1967 borders with land swaps - Ynetnews.com - May 22, 2011 - US President Barack Obama spoke before an AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference in Washington Sunday, amid rumored tensions with both Jerusalem and the Jewish community in the United States, following his Mideast policy speech last week. Obama's speech, where he endorsed the 1967 borders as the basis for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, has chafed the tense relations between Jerusalem and Washington further, as well as sparked rumors that the Jewish American community was, for the large part, rethinking its support for Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.
Tornadoes Rip Through the Midwest with Joplin, MO Hit Hard - Accuweather.com - May 22, 2011 - The fourth major outbreak of the season continues this evening as the total number of tornado reports near 50 with over 24 people killed in Joplin, Missouri, alone. Minneapolis was hit by a tornado this afternoon and another tornado touched down this evening near Joplin, Missouri. Major damage is being reported with media reports of a Wal-Mart store being destroyed with several people trapped in the rubble.
Deadly Tornadoes Strike the Southern Plains - Accuweather.com - May 26, 2011 - Tornadoes continued to rampage across parts of eastern Oklahoma and northern Texas on Tuesday evening before barging into Missouri and Arkansas overnight. Many large tornadoes tracked across the southern Plains on Tuesday evening with damage reported in many areas. According to the Associated Press, at least 15 people have been killed by tornadoes and many more are missing.
These were weather stories that followed the announcement of U.S. support for dividing the Land of Israel to facilitate a Palestinian state. God not only uses weather but makes it clear in His Word that He uses other means to discipline nations as well. (See Amos 4). Consequently, as summer came and our State Department continued to insist that Israel give up land, our country experienced record wildfires, drought, and the most challenged economy since the days of the Great Depression! On August 23rd, a 5.9 earthquake struck the East Coast. The Capitol Building and Pentagon were evacuated. Then Hurricane Irene made landfall at North Carolina and made its way up the East Coast causing many millions of dollars in flooding and wind damage all the way to Vermont. This storm was followed on September 5th by tropical storm Lee that dumped many inches of rain all the way to the Northeast causing major flooding, millions more in loss of property, and lives.
All the talk about a Palestinian State has emboldened the Palestinians, much of it from the encouragement from the U.S. State Department. The United States has led the charge so to speak. As a result, at this writing, a vote is scheduled at the United Nations for the formal recognition of a Palestinian State on September 23, 2011. The outcome at this point is uncertain. The Palestinian State that is proposed is presently inside the borders of Israel and starts at the so-called 1967 border. This "border" is simply an armistice line where the fighting stopped between Israel and the invading nations in the 1948 War Of Independence. It is also where the fighting resumed in the famous "Six Day War" of 1967. During this war in June of 1967 the Israeli army pushed the Jordanians back from the "armistice lines" eastward to the Jordan River. Today this area is known as the "West Bank" being just west of the Jordan River. This is part of the land that was in the original covenant between God and Abraham, Isaac, then Jacob. God is not pleased with any who will challenge His plan about this Land. This land is spoken for. God ultimately, after establishing the Jewish people in the Land, will gather all the nations that have persecuted Israel and "divided the Land" (Joel 3:2) and He will destroy their armies and establish Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords on Mount Zion in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14), right there in little Israel. No country can stand in the way of this plan! All that do will come to ruin. As a question in passing: Why does a Palestinian State have to involve this land? Why cannot a land parcel be granted in one of the surrounding Palestinian Arab nations for a Palestinian State?
Because of the current political climate, the question naturally arises, who does own the Land of Israel? The ultimate answer is God, of course, and He has given it to the descendants of Israel. Here is what He says, "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land." (Ezekiel 36:24). The present Land of Israel mostly laid desolate for almost 2,000 years. Israel was driven from it by the Romans in 70 A.D. Jewish people started to migrate back to Israel in the late 1800's. Most of the Jewish population of Israel has accumulated there since the founding of the State in 1948. The Jewish people have not returned to claim someone else's land as some think today. They have returned to their own, not someone else's.
The current hatred of the Palestinians against Israel and the Palestinian's claim to the Land is addressed in the Bible at Ezekiel 35. God expresses His anger against the Palestinians because of their anger toward Israel the and He vows that He will do to the Palestinians what they want to do to Israel. Ezekiel 35:15 states, "As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be a desolation, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD." God is going to use this current hostility to make a statement to the world and to Israel. God says it this way, "therefore as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "I will deal with you (Palestinians) according to your anger and according to your envy which you showed because of your hatred against them (Israel); so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you." (Ezekiel 35:11).
It would be proper to insert here that God is not against the Palestinians. He is against the hatred toward Israel. John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." God desires that all will be saved. That would include the Palestinians. God welcomes them and all to live in peace with Him and all others today.
A major plan of God concerning the restoration of Israel and the ultimate return of Jesus to rule and reign there is in progress today. The nations would be well advised to get out of God's way! The Bible states "For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye". (Zechariah 2:8). Considering this insight and the retaliation promise about "dividing the Land" at Joel 3:2, it would be a good time for us to consider getting out of the peace-brokering business in the Middle East, get our finger out of God's eye, stop meddling in God's business in the Middle East, stop leading the charge about forcing Israel to make compromises about her land, and concentrate on our own problems here at home! It would also be a good time to understand that God and Israel can take care of Israel. God doesn't need our help!
What Is Happening in the
Middle East?
Uncertainty abounds in the Middle East! Rioting around the region is toppling leaders. There is unrest and protests in Sudan and other north African nations. At this writing, fighting continues in Libya. Iran has sent warships into the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. There are still problems brewing in Lebanon, Iran, violent protesting in Syria, the U.S. military is still in Iraq to maintain "peace". Yemen has had an overthrow of its leader, and Jordan is having protests of her own. The president of Egypt has resigned as a result of protests there and the future of Egyptian leadership is uncertain. All of these countries listed have two things in common, hatred for Israel and they all surround Israel. The question really is, does the Bible have anything to say about what we see developing in the Middle East?
Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 35 are Scriptures that reveal an Arab world that hates Israel, closely surround Israel, and desire to shed Israel's blood. With the reestablishment of the nation of Israel in 1948 among hostile Arab neighbors, this is precisely the Middle East we see in place today. Will the current protests and removal of current leaders result in an Arab coalition that finds itself able to unite under the common cause of destroying Israel? Many students of the prophetic Scriptures are watching with earnest. Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 35 both predict that eventually an Arab coalition will come against Israel to destroy her. God will intervene and He will supernaturally judge and devastate those Arab nations involved for all the world to see (Ezekiel 35:14).
As a backdrop, recent earthquakes have devastated Christ Church, New Zealand and Japan. The world is still stunned by the devastation caused by a 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan. Financial woes are challenging the world leaders. Prices of basic goods and services are rising sharply. The arms race is back on among many nations including Russia and China. Natural disasters are striking in various locales around the world. These are what Jesus called "birth pangs" in Matthew 24. They all mean one thing, the return of Jesus is near! It is a good time to be right with God! Romans 10:9 gives instructions to believe in Jesus in one's heart. Do it today!
Devastating Weather and the Israel Connection

13 Dead in Violent Weather in 3 States - Associated Press - May 25, 2011 - A violent storm system powering through a
wide swath of the Midwest and South on Wednesday spawned tornadoes and
powerful winds that turned homes into splintered wreckage and cars into
crumpled shells and killed at least 13 people. The system, which followed closely behind
the one that spawned the massive twister that struck Joplin, Mo., and
killed more than 120 people, moved into the Oklahoma City area Tuesday
evening as worried commuters rushed home from work. Several tornadoes touched down in the
state's largest city and its suburbs, killing at least eight people and
injuring at least 60 others, including three children who were in
critical condition, authorities said. The storms killed two people in Kansas before moving eastward and killing three others in Arkansas.
Comment: These storms move through our country at the same time as our State Department has insisted that Israel return to her much-smaller borders of 1967 and cede land back to the Palestinians. Coincidence? See Joel 3:1-2.
By the way, the so-called 1967 borders were not borders at all. They were cease-fire lines drawn at the end of fighting of Israel's historic 1948 war of independence. They were never "borders".
Deception is Sweeping The World!
One of the most sobering conditions predicted for the end-times world was predicted by many of the Bible prophets. One of those prophets was Jesus Himself. Jesus prophesied in His famous response to His disciples' questions about the end-times in Matthew 24 about deception. They specifically asked what would be the "sign of His coming" and the sign of the "end of the age" (Matthew 24:3). His response was very interesting. He listed the very first sign by saying, "see that no one deceives you" (Matthew 24:4). Again He said that "false christs and false prophets would arise to "deceive" many" (Matthew 24:11). The caution about deception is repeated in Matthew 24:24. The word, "deception", that Scripture uses here means deliberate misleading. There is so much of it around us in our world today!
One of the most likely places to find gross deception today is in the press. The press is one of the most unreliable places to get truth today! Why? The main goal in the press today seems to be, not reporting the truth, but sensationalizing enough to keep the ratings up. "Freedom of the Press" should not include the license to spread lies. We have deceived ourselves about this issue so much in the Western World that the Press will often take liberty to circulate a lie about a political candidate in an important election and influence the voters with little accountability.
Another area of gross deception is in politics. Nowhere is this principle more visible than in the "peace process" between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel is surrounded by countries who have vowed Israel's destruction and the world wants Israel to negotiate and make concessions to "make peace". Sadly, the United States has taken a leading role in this nonsense. As Carolyn Glick, writer for the Jerusalem Post puts it, "By calling for Israel to cede the Jordan Valley to the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama is ignoring the most fundamental reality of the Middle East: Israel is besieged by its neighbors who seek its destruction." (Jerusalem Post - Nov. 5, 2010). Deception is affecting our politics of today in a big way both at home and abroad!
Some other impacting deceptions in our world today that are making huge impact:
1). We are evolved from some primordial goo that changed over millions of years into humans, instead of being created by God as the Genesis account of the Bible records.
2). The homosexual life-style is normal.
3). Abortion is good for society.
4). Islam is a religion of peace.
5). Man is basically good. (The Bible says opposite).
Much harm has been brought into the world by the above mentioned deceptions and much can be said about these deceptions later. For now, it is worthy of mention that Jesus warned of these deceptions and He said, "if possible, even the elect would be deceived". People of God should not be buying into these deceptions today. They should be more interested in truth. In this regard, a redeeming day is coming when the King of this earth will rule with truth. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). The deception in the world today indicates that the great day of His return is near. Today would be good!
Japan earthquake, tsunami kill hundreds - CBS News - March 11, 2011 - A ferocious tsunami spawned by one of the largest earthquakes ever
recorded slammed Japan's eastern coast Friday, killing hundreds as it
swept away boats, cars and homes while widespread fires burned out of
control. Tsunami warnings blanketed the entire Pacific, as far away as
South America, Canada, Alaska and the entire U.S. West Coast. The
magnitude 8.9 offshore quake unleashed a 23-foot tsunami and was
followed by more than 80 aftershocks greater than magnitude-5 -- a
number that scientists say is normal for a quake this size.
Comment: We at Lion of Judah Ministry are stunned at the magnitude of the destruction of this earthquake! We have great grief for the victims, many that are yet discovered. Jesus said there would be earthquakes as birth pangs upon a woman with child (Matthew 24:7). These earthquakes will become more frequent and more intense as we grow closer to the return of Jesus. Is there any hope? Yes! Place your faith in Yeshua (Jesus of Nazareth) while there is time. See Romans 10: 9.
Middle East:
Fighting continues in Libya. The outcome is uncertain. There are still
problems brewing in Lebanon, Iran, violent protesting in Syria, the
U.S. military is still in Iraq to maintain "peace", Yemen has had an
overthrow of its leader, and Jordan is having protests of her own. The
future of Egyptian leadership is uncertain. The question: What is happening in the Middle East?
It is too early to assess details but generally, all of the countries
listed have one thing in common, hatred for Israel. Will the current
stirring result in an Arab coalition that finds itself able to unite
under the common cause outlined in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 35. Both
Scriptures reveal an Arab world that hates Israel and that God
supernaturally judges for all the world to see (Ezekiel 35:14). Those
of us trained in the prophetic Scriptures are watching for more detail
to develop with earnest. Meanwhile, it is a good time to be right with
God!
Egypt: February 7, 2011 - Egypt is going through some monumental challenges! It is hard to call at present which way things will go. If Egypt winds up with a more sympathetic government to Islam, Israel will have some new challenges on her southwestern border. We will wait and see. (See current events section).
Muslim Brotherhood's First Demand for US: Drop Israel - Israel Today Magazine - July 05, 2011 - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the weekend publicly announced the Obama Administration's desire to reestablish ties with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood responded this week by thanking Clinton, and issuing its first demand of its new American friends: drop support for the "Zionist regime." In an email response quoted by Bloomberg, Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Mahmoud Ghozlan stated that if America wants solid relations with the group, it should "stop supporting the corrupt and tyrannical regimes, backing the Zionist occupation and using double standards."...The Muslim Brotherhood sees all of Israel as a cancerous growth that must be eradicated. The group supports returning Egypt to a state of war with Israel, and wants to see the entirety of the region become an Islamic Caliphate.
Comment: Support for Israel has been a salvation for the USA. This is in accordance with God's promise in Genesis 12:3 to Abraham that He would bless those who bless him.
Abbas Demands that PA State b)e Jew-Free - israelnationalnews.com - December 25, 2010 - Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Friday that there would be no Jewish presence in any future state run by the Western-backed PA in Israel's Judea and Samaria regions. "When a Palestinian state is established it will be empty of any Israeli presence." Abbas also rejected the possibility that an IDF presence would be positioned along the borders of such a state.
Comment: Wonder what would happen to the "peace Process" if Israel made the demand that no Palestinians could live inside of Israel?
Nasrallah: Throw the Jews Out - www.israelnationalnews.com - December 16, 2010 - Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah said in a speech Thursday that the removal of Jews from the Land of Israel and conquering the land by Arabs was a principle that the Arab world could not surrender on. Speaking at a Shi'ite religious event, Nasrallah said that “we will bring thousands of martyrs” to kill Jews in Jerusalem. “We will never recognize Israel. We will not surrender a grain of Palestine's sand.”
Comment: Nobody will "throw the Jews out". God said He would gather the Jewish people to the Land of Israel in the last days. Amos 9:14-15 states that when they are established in the Land, they will never again leave the Land. The Jewish people that are in the Land today will stay there. They will be in the Land when their Messiah is revealed to them (Zechariah 12:10).
Ettinger: "Elections Results Are Like an Earthquake" - Israelnationalnews.com - Nov/04/10 - Yoram Ettinger, Former Consul General of Israel in Houston, Texas, said on Wednesday that President Barack Obama's defeat in the midterm elections is a chance for Israel to enter a new era. What happened in the U.S. is like an 8.0 magnitude earthquake," Ettinger told Arutz7. "There hasn't been such a revolution since 1948, with Republicans taking the majority from the Democrats in the House. The results are dramatic for President Obama, who until now was very critical of Israel, and he suddenly gets a pro-Israel House. The new Congress now has dozens of members that are supporters of Israel, which indicates that most Americans belong to the center and right."
Comment: Hopefully Mr. Ettinger is correct in thinking that the new House will insure stronger support for Israel. We will see.
American 'Wounded Warriors' visit Israel - www.israeltoday.co.il - November 03, 2010 - A group of American military veterans were brought to Israel last month as part of the Wounded Warriors Project to spend some time with Israeli counterparts...One of the Americans told an Israeli army reporter that “back in the States, when we see Israel on the news, for example, it seems like a terror stricken country filled with war. But when we arrived here, we stood in front of a beautiful country.”
Comment: Ezekiel prophesied that the day would come when "passers by" (tourists) would come and say, "this land has become like the Garden of Eden" (Ezekiel 36:35). Sounds like that day is now.
Obama to open long-shot talks on Mideast peace - September 1, 2010 - Barak Obama and the White House are preparing to open new talks today between Israel and the Palestinians. The talks include discussion of ceding part of Jerusalem to the Palestinians, granting right of return to those Palestinians who vacated their homes as the Arab armies advanced into Israel in the 1967 war, and an agreement by Israel to cease building in the West Bank (old Biblical Judea and Samaria). As the talks begin, Hurricane Earl roars toward the East Coast, even toward Washington, as a very destructive category 3 hurricane, packing 125 mph winds. It is not known if the hurricane will strengthen before it strikes the East Coast.
Comment: As stated many times before, God has a plan to restore Israel (Ezekiel 36, for example) and the Jewish people back to it. There cannot be a plan by God to restore it, and another plan by politicians to give it away! And there especially cannot be a plan to divide Jerusalem! Zechariah 12: 2-3 promises that anyone who dabbles with Jerusalem will be "severely injured".
Update September 6, 2010 - During the "Talks" at Washington, pressure was put on Abbas (Palestinian President) to not expect the Jewish families to vacate their homes in the West Bank. At this development, Hurricane Earl downgraded and turned away from the East Coast. Hurricane Earl is now extinct.
New Zealand Earthquake 2010: Strong Quake Shakes Christchurch - As reported by the Huffington Post - September 3, 2010 - A strong earthquake rattled New Zealand at 4:35 a.m. local time Saturday morning. The USGS posted a magnitude of 7.2.
Comment: Over 100,000 homes were damaged by this ferocious earthquake. See the article on this Website that graphs the increase of earthquakes.
